Materials Need Daily

  • Composition Notebook: Students will use their notebooks daily to create an Interactive Journal and take notes. Students will store their journals in class and are expected to take care of them. Line size and cover design is your choice.
  • Folder: Folders should have prongs and pockets to hold paper. ALL papers need to stay in your folder until the end of each six weeks. Folder color is assigned.
  • Writing utensils:  blue or a black ink pens and pencils. All other colors will be used for grading by teacher. It is your responsibility to have your own writing supplies.

Grading

Assignments: 60%

  • Daily class work  (Warm Ups, notes, projects, activities, lessons) and homework

Assessments: 40%

  • Quizzes and tests (in class reviews or study guides will usually occur before each test)

Late/Missing Work

Work may be turned in late for a partial grade(70). 

Tutoring  

Tuesdays, 3:45- 4:30. 

Homework

Assigned on Tuesdays, due on Fridays

Absences

 All work will be available in the Student Center until all copies have been taken.

Class Rules:  RESPECT each other.

  • Level 1 no talking
  • Level 2: partner voice (whisper/very low voice)
  • Level 3: speaker voice (presenting to class)
  • Sit up straight & be silent
  • Listen
  • Ask/answer questions
  • Nod your head
  • Track the speaker
