I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio.  I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Bilingual-Bicultural Studies with minors in ESL and Spanish. I am certified to teach Secondary level core contents, Bilingual Education, and English as a Second Language (ESL).


I have lived in San Antonio for the past 23 years. I attended public schools and universities in the San Antonio area.

What will we be learning in E.S.L?

In this class, we will improve our English speaking, reading, and writing skills. We will be reading analyzing a variety of literature genres throughout the year, including: short stories, expository, and other texts. We will also be learning new vocabulary, grammar, and writing conventions.

Class Expectations:

#1 Come to class ready to work.

#2 Bring necessary supplies.

#3 Listen and pay attention.

#4 Follow teacher’s policies and class procedures.

#5 Participate and keep a positive attitude.


Students needing extra help can come to tutoring on Monday’s from (3:45pm – 4:30pm.)
Other days and times available by appointment.
